Seeing Through the Haiku

Is it possible to photographically express oneself through words?

I think we can come close with the Haiku.

For within the Haiku, we must compose, contain and feel–just as we do with our photographs.

Thunderous sky booms

Smell of electricity

Warm rain blows sideways

Misty Moment

Dark forest creaking

Sweet pine cuts through the dense fog

The chipmunk scurries

Lone Canyon

Lone canyon blue moon

Shadows dancing like a moth

Against jagged rocks

Bear Tracks

Swirling red leaves flow

Dawn’s mist rises from the creek

Bear tracks in the mud

Through the lens I see

A reflection of myself

Essence of the tree
